Admission Requirements
Students must have the following in order to be considered for program admission:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Meet one of the following academic requirements:
I. Document completion of an Associate’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university prior to September 1st.
Must have completed the following college credit-bearing prerequisite courses with a ‘C’ grade or higher:
• English Composition
• Intermediate Algebra
• Public Speaking
• Human Anatomy & Physiology I (with lab) within past 5 years
• Human Anatomy & Physiology II (with lab) within past 5 years
- OR -
II. Enroll at Manchester Community College (MCC) and complete the following prerequisite courses* prior to August 1st.
• ENG 101: Composition
• COM 173: Public Speaking
• MAT 138: Intermediate Algebra
• BIO 211: Anatomy & Physiology I
• BIO 212: Anatomy & Physiology II
• PSY 111: General Psychology**
• IDS 201: Explore (Theme)**
All of the above courses must be completed with a ‘C’ grade or higher.
*Equivalent courses from other regionally accredited institutions may be accepted, however courses taken at other colleges must be evaluated by MCC and appear as transferred on an MCC transcript.
**The PSY and IDS courses may be completed after August 1st with the understanding that they must be satisfactorily completed prior to program graduation.

Complete a Hartford Hospital Radiography Program application (including application fee)

Sign the Technical Standards form indicating an understanding of the physical and cognitive requirements of the radiography program and profession.

Have all official high school and college transcripts forwarded to the Radiography Program Director.

Score at least 70% on the program's placement examination. Exam will be scheduled once all application materials have been received.

Complete an observation period in Hartford Hospital’s Radiology Department and a personal interview. Observation and interview will be scheduled once the applicant has passed the placement exam.

Demonstrate the ability to work in a health care environment:
- Demonstrate compassion, understanding, and be able to work with a diverse population, under fast paced and sometimes stressful conditions.

Must be mature, open-minded and professional, with excellent communication skills.
Individuals accepted into the Radiography Program, must meet the following requirements:

Complete and provide documentation of a pre-enrollment physical examination and required immunizations.

Successfully pass substance abuse screening.
-
Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Submit a $500.00 non-refundable deposit (will be applied toward first year tuition).
