admissionAdmission Requirements

Students must have the following in order to be considered for program admission:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Have taken a minimum of 15 credit hours of college-level course work.
  3. Have completed the following college-level courses with a grade of ‘C’ or higher (C- and below is not accepted):
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology I
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology II
    • Intermediate Algebra
    • English Composition
    • Speech/Public Speaking
  4. Must demonstrate the ability to work in a health care environment:
    - Demonstrate compassion, understanding, and be able to work with a diverse population of people and under fast paced and sometimes stressful conditions.
    - Must be mature, open-minded and professional, with excellent communication skills.
  5. Score at least 70% on the program's placement examination.
  6. Must pass pre-enrollment physical examination including substance abuse screening.
  7. Sign "Technical Standards" form indicating that he/she understands the physical and cognitive requirements of the radiography profession.
  8. Complete a Hartford Hospital School of Allied Health application and have all official transcripts forwarded to the Radiography Program Director
