Fees & Services

Cedar Mountain Commons' independent living program offers residents their own studio, one or two-bedroom apartment complete with a full kitchen, living and dining areas and private bath. The monthly fee covers: rental of the apartment; all utilities (except for telephone and cable television); access to all community amenities; weekly housekeeping; maintenance; two meals served daily; 24-hour staffing; scheduled transportation and cultural, educational and wellness programs. For residents in the "AL in IL" program, the monthly fee includes 3 meals per day as well as resident care services (scheduled/intermittent services, medication management, etc.).

Cedar Mountain Commons' assisted living program offers residents their own studio, one or two-bedroom apartment and provides residents the assistance they need to stay independent. The monthly fee covers: rental of the apartment; all utilities (except for telephone and cable television); access to all community amenities; weekly housekeeping; maintenance; three meals served daily; 24-hour staffing; scheduled transportation and cultural, educational and wellness programs. In addition, the monthly fee includes the "We Encourage" service package at no additional cost.

The following services and amenities are included in the BASIC MONTHLY FEE:

• Use of a studio, one bedroom or two bedroom;apartment with lockable door to include an emergency response system, kitchenette, full/private bath, carpeting, basic window treatments, telephone hookup (utility to be arranged and paid for by resident), cable television hook up (utility to be arranged and paid for by resident) and electric/water/heat and air conditioning. 
• Three meals daily with access to snacks.
• Basic/special diets (i.e. low or no salt, sugar free, etc.)
• Regularly scheduled transportation to medical appointments, shopping, church attendance, etc. Additional charges apply for unscheduled/special transportation services.
• Social and recreational activities. Additional charges may apply for special events/programs.
• Once weekly laundering of bed and bath linens. Additional charges apply for increased frequency in services.
• Regularly scheduled/weekly housekeeping (to include dusting of horizontal surfaces, vacuuming, tidying of the apartment and thorough cleaning of the bathroom and kitchen area). Additional charges apply for additional services requested.
• Up to 8 (eight) hours of personal care and nursing services, as required in the service plan. Additional services are available at additional costs and are summarized in the "Keeping You Healthy" program outline.

"Other charges" are summarized in the assisted living neighborhood schedule of fees.

 

The Basic Monthly Fee, and all other fees, may be increased as provided in the Residency Agreement. Cedar Mountain Commons provides written notice of any/all fee increases. Charges may also increase in the event a resident's health care needs increase. This may occur at any time and is based on need. Be assured, it is the goal of Cedar Mountain Commons to maintain the residents of the assisted living neighborhood at their maximum level of independence/function at the lowest service package possible. 

 

ONE TIME CHARGES

• Reservation Deposit
  Cedar Mountain Commons requires a deposit of $2,000 to be placed/have the applicant's name maintained on the reservation list, for processing the application and for assessing the applicant's health care needs. If the applicant chooses not to move into Cedar Mountain Commons after the Resident Care Director or her/his designee has completed a personal health assessment, the applicant will be refunded $1,750 of the original deposit. If the applicant withdraws from the reservation list prior to arranging for the Resident Care Director or her/his designee to assess their health care need, the Reservation Deposit is fully refunded.
• Community Fee
  Cedar Mountain Commons requires a non-refundable Community Fee of $2,000 to defray the initial cost of setting up services for the resident. (Note. The Reservation Deposit converts to the Community Fee upon move-in. It is not billed as a separate charge).
• Security Deposit
  At time of lease signing, we require a security deposit equal to one month's Basic Monthly Fee. Please see the Residency Agreement for additional information about the Security Deposit.
