Mission Statement
The mission of Audiovisual Services is to support and staff orientation and education activities intended for hospital staff, volunteers, students and the community and to support research and communication initiatives through the use of audio and visual technology.
Activities
Satellite Programs
Audiovisual Services through collaboration with Biomedical Engineering and Department of Education Administration are responsible for providing over 50 satellite programs per year.
Live Video
TeleconferencingLive video links of weekly lectures are established between Hartford Hospital and other institutions by Audiovisual.
AV Services
The Department staffs on a daily basis education programs and administrative meetings throughout the organization including the Newington campus. The staff is called upon to provide a variety of technological services in order to broadcast programs from their point of origin to a distantly located audience.
Photography Services
The division frequently is called upon to staff events for the purpose of documentation. The photographs are often taken for hospital publications (Rounds Magazine, Rounds for Healthy Living, the Rxtra and Annual Reports), public exhibits or medical records.
