| About R. Frederic Knauft |
Dr. Knauft has a lengthy and keen interest in Respiratory Care. He has been the medical director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program since its inception at CT Children’s Medical Center and facilitated its move to Hartford Hospital. Dr. Knauft has participated in the CF Learning and Leadership Collaborative programs and the Center’s accomplishments have been presented at national meetings featuring both the adult and pediatric programs on site. The Adult team is deeply committed to maximizing the health and quality of life of their patients, to strive to achieve collaborative goals of care, and to make transition from pediatric to adult care a priority. The Adult Advisory Board has provided useful guidance for quality improvement ideas. The Adult program is part of the CF Therapeutic Development Network which provides clinical research studies. |
