(HealthDay News) -- Your newborn isn't too young to begin learning, the Nemours Foundation says. Age-appropriate toys can stimulate the developing senses of touch, sound and site.
The foundation suggests using the following toys:
- Baby rattles.
- Toys with different textures.
- Toys that play music.
- Crib mirrors that can't break.
- Mobiles or toys that have strongly contrasting patterns and colors, such as red, black and white.
