(HealthDay News) -- People with arthritis can take steps to
lessen pain, increase movement and improve their mobility.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers these
suggestions for promoting joint health:
- Get regular physical activity -- at least 30 minutes worth,
five days per week.
- Maintain a healthy body weight.
- Avoid overusing and injuring your joints. Take breaks and vary
your activities when possible during exercise and work that require
repetitive motion.
- Visit your doctor at the first sign of arthritis symptoms.
