(HealthDay News) -- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
(NSAIDs) are over-the-counter or prescription drugs designed to
alleviate pain and reduce inflammation.
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons says NSAIDs may be
used to treat or help prevent:
- Bursitis or tendonitis.
- Heart disease.
- Arthritis.
- A bone fracture.
- Pain or inflammation resulting from orthopedic surgery.
