(HealthDay News) -- Rotavirus is a common infection among young
children, especially those in the close confines of hospitals or
child care centers.
The Nemours Foundation suggests how to help children avoid a
rotavirus infection:
- Encourage kids to keep hands and fingers out of their
mouths.
- Make sure children wash their hands frequently, particularly
before they eat and after they use the restroom.
- Have your children vaccinated against rotavirus.
- Keep children who have diarrhea home from school or daycare
until their symptoms end.
