(HealthDay News) -- At some time in their lives, as many as
one-third of people with diabetes will develop a skin infection,
the American Diabetes Association says.
The ADA says these common bacterial infections may affect
diabetics:
- Styes, infection of the eyelid glands.
- Folliculitis, infection of the hair follicle.
- Boils.
- Carbuncles, a type of deep-skin infection.
- Infections of the skin surrounding the nails.
