(HealthDay News) -- Many nutritionists suggest eating fish and
seafood as part of a balanced, healthier diet.
The University of Michigan Health System offers this list of
seafood's potential benefits:
- It's a good source of protein that's low in saturated fat and
rich in iron.
- It's a good source of B vitamins, such as B-12.
- Most types encourage healthy growth of a fetus during pregnancy
and development of children.
- It's an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.
