Health Tip: If Your Teeth Are Sensitive

(HealthDay News) -- If you find that eating or drinking something hot or cold delivers a shooting pain to your pearly whites, you may have sensitive teeth.

The American Dental Association says common causes of tooth sensitivity include:

  • Cavities.
  • A fractured tooth.
  • Worn dental fillings.
  • Gum disease.
  • Worn tooth enamel.
  • An exposed tooth root.
