(HealthDay News) -- If you smoke while you're pregnant, you're
exposing the baby to a host of harmful chemicals, including carbon
monoxide, tar and nicotine, the American Congress of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists says.
The ACOG says smoking during pregnancy can lead to these medical
problems:
- An ectopic pregnancy.
- Bleeding.
- Complications with the attachment of the placenta to the
uterus.
- Stillbirth.
- A baby with a low birth weight.
