A Best Hospital in US News & World Report
|
For the third consecutive year, U.S.News & World Report has named Hartford Hospital’s Institute of Living among the nation’s top psychiatric facilities, ranking at number 19. With 174 hospitals listed within all 16 categories – and only two hospitals in Connecticut – Hartford Hospital is among the top four percent of hospitals in the country. For the twentieth year in a row, U.S.News & World Report has sought out the most prestigious hospitals in the U.S. through extensive research screening. This year’s list features the highest rating for Hartford Hospital, as it climbed four spots from its 2008 ranking. After sifting through 4,861 medical centers, only 174 hospitals scored enough points to be named as one of the top hospitals in their respective category within the medical industry. Hartford Hospital’s Institute of Living enjoys a national reputation for excellence and is the product of a long and rich history. In more than 185 years of continuous service, the Institute is recognized for its comprehensive patient care, research and education, in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric and addiction disorders.
