Elizabeth attended the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the Anxiety Disorders Center, Elizabeth completed her predoctoral internship at University of Rochester Medical Center where she specialized in treating children and adolescents.

Elizabeth’s clinical interests include working with children, adolescents and adults with anxiety disorders (including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, social phobia, and panic disorder). Elizabeth also has particular experience incorporating elements of mindfulness and acceptance-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction into Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

Elizabeth’s research interests include examining the role of maladaptive coping and emotion regulatory strategies (e.g., experiential avoidance) in the development and maintenance of psychological disorders.
