The Neuropsychology Division of the Department of Neurosurgery is dedicated to providing comprehensive consultation, evaluation, and intervention services to address brain and behavior related difficulties in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Using research based knowledge and state of the art assessment strategies, our goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of patients, reduce the effects of neurologically related impairment and to maximize an individual’s functioning in daily life.  A holistic approach that addresses physical, emotional and cognitive problems/symptoms is integral to our clinical service.

In addition to ongoing clinical care, staff in our division are actively involved in ongoing research which has recently included moderator effects on symptoms/impairment after head injury and use of functional neuroimaging to better understand brain injury pathology.

Referral sources include family members, family physicians, neurosurgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, as well as attorneys.
