Position

One position is offered on a competitive basis each year in the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program at the University of Connecticut Health Center/Hartford Hospital. 

How to Apply

Step1:
For those wishing to apply that do not use ERAS, the following form can be used:

You first must submit an electronic application via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) at www.aamc.org/audienceeras.htm.

The academic year begins in July.

A complete application includes the following: 

  • Completed Application
  • Dean’s letter, medical school transcript and diploma
  • Three current letters of recommendation (one from the Department Chair)
  • Current curriculum Vitae
  • Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations (USMLE Step I, II III or COMLEX Scores).
  • ECFMG certificate (if you graduated from medical school outside the USA)
  • Absite scores (from American Board of Surgery)
  • Personal statement
  • Photograph
  • Medical school transcript
  • J-1 visa is the only non-immigrant visa accepted by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine graduate medical education program. 

Step 2:

Appointments are made through the Vascular Surgery Matching Program, sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program Specialty Matching Services. All candidates must register through the Specialties Matching Service (SMS).

  • Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Hartford Hospital for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews are conducted during February and March each year.
