Welcome to the University of Connecticut’s Surgery Critical Care Fellowship website at Hartford Hospital. Hartford Hospital is not only one of New England’s largest and finest hospitals, it has also been recognized nationally for it’s medical excellence.
 
The primary goal of the Critical Care Fellowship Program is to train expert clinicians. The Fellowship is approved for 4 positions in Surgery and 1 in Anesthesiology. The year will be spent with direct clinical responsibility in the SICU. (more)
 
Hartford Hospital is an 850-bed tertiary care facility with distinctive programs in trauma, cardiovascular surgery, surgical oncology, and transplantation (including heart and liver). The patient base for the program is extensive with over 40,000 surgical procedures performed each year. (more)
 
The clinical faculty of the Division of Surgery Critical Care consists of members of the Departments of Surgery, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine/Trauma, and Neurology. The members of the Division have had a long-standing interest in Critical Care Medicine (CCM), have completed fellowships in CCM, and are board certified in the specialty. (more)
 
Applications will be accepted from physicians with at least 3 years of training from a U.S. or Canadian general surgery residency program. (more)
