If I need surgery, how long would I have to stay in the hospital?
If you do need surgery for your spine, the amount of time you stay in the hospital would be dependent upon the type of surgery you have, your condition and your doctor’s opinion. While some procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis, others require a hospital stay. Your particular clinical situation will determine your length of stay.
Can I go home after surgery or will I need to go to a rehab facility?
Your discharge plan will depend upon your particular needs. Many of our patients are able to return to home and to outpatient physical therapy upon release from the hospital. Others require more assistance in the form of home care or a rehabilitation facility.
