Parth S. Shah, M.D, joined Hartford Specialists as a vascular and endovascular surgeon. He performs surgery at both The Hospital of Central Connecticut and Hartford Hospital.
Dr. Shah's clinical areas of interest include carotid artery surgery and stenting, limb salvage, acute treatment of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, repair of aortic diseases, and repair of complex thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms. Dr. Shah has also been actively involved in research on carotid artery stenting, ruptured aortic aneurysms, mesenteric vascular disease, and surgical skills training.
Dr. Shah is a graduate of Smt. N.H.L. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery and then served as chief resident in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery in the University of Connecticut program at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Shah also has a Masters in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD.
