Art For Healing
Virtual Art Gallery

In the recent months, we have had the chance to work on long term projects within the Dialysis wing of Jefferson through a few of our Creativity Coach volunteers. Long-term projects such as the mask portrait below, allow the patients to explore aspects of their identity and creative nature within a hospital setting. Other opportunities to provide art for the local community include the pieces of art made from our Contemporary printmaking class shown below. Classes such as Martha Galuska's Contemporary printmaking introduce cancer survivor, thrivers, and caregivers the opportunity to become introduced to new mediums. Here these artists created many prints compiled of layers of ink within a long process involving a giant press machine which allows the images to transfer onto paper. Though the artists wanted to remain anonymous, it is the art that speaks for itself!
