Dream Maker Program

The “Dream Maker” program has been established to allow long-term and palliative patients and their family members to identify dreams or goals that they or their loved ones would like to accomplish in their lifetimes.

These "dreams" may be activities that they’ve experienced and want to relive or those that they always wanted to do but never had the opportunity to do so. These dreams may be of a physical, emotional, purposeful, social, and spiritual or of an intellectual nature.

The program has already granted its first “Dream”. A diehard UConn Women’s Husky Basketball fan always dreamed of attending a game. Jefferson House was able to make her dream come true. Along with members of her family, she attended a game in Hartford with all the expensed paid by Jefferson House. 

Throughout the year Jefferson House will be granting a number of “Dreams”.

The application process is very simple. All that is required is a narrative telling us about your “Dream”. A team composed of advisory committee members and staff reviews each application.
