On this fast paced 42-bed Orthopaedic unit, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other support staff work together as a team to help patients reach their highest possible degree of functioning after an injury or disease causes an Orthopaedic problem.
We differentiate our department from those in other hospitals through the volume of cutting edge procedures we perform in the areas of Total Joint Replacement, Trauma, and Spine Surgery, along with the experience of our staff members.
Management of Orthopaedic patients, within a short length of stay, requires an organized team approach to provide pre-operative education, medical management, pain management, nursing care, patient/family teaching, and early discharge planning.

Through participation in unit and hospital wide Shared Governance councils, all staff members have the ability to improve the patient care delivery system and the quality of their work environment.
