Nursing as a Profession

The mission of this group is to ensure the professional practice of nursing using evidence based practice and the evaluation/ adoption of best practice for nursing through out Hartford Hospital.

This subgroup reviews and acts upon benchmark data using national and local databases on nursing sensitive outcome indicators. It also serves to provide guidance and ownership for the practice of nursing by its members and to foster collaborative practice at Hartford Hospital.

The Principle accountabilities of this professional group include upholding the standards and quality of professional nursing practice through affirmation of our mission, vision, philosophy and goals for nursing.
