In support of nursing research and evidence-based practice, two awards have been established for nursing staff of Hartford Hospital and Hartford Healthcare Corporation affiliates.

In addition, an Evidence-Based Practice Project Grant is available to Hartford Hospital nursing employees to facilitate the initiation of evidence-based practice projects.

The CT Nursing Research Alliance for Nursing Research and Research Utilization is a group of organizations that supports nurses and nursing students in evidence-based practice activities including nursing research and research utilization.  The following research-based activities are highlighted on their website:

  • Annual Conference
    Information regarding the annual Research/Research Utilization Conference, including past session & poster abstracts, and information regarding the Research Awards

  • Capitol Area Alliance
    Supports nurses and nursing students in their evidence-based practice activities including nursing research and research utilization

  • Round Table Discussion Group
    Roundtables are sponsored to assist nurses and nursing students in the development of research and research utilization skills
