Clinical Research Center

Staff and Experience

The CRC has supported research conducted by hospital investigators since 1993. The staff has grown to include 19 research professionals committed to providing excellence in clinical research activities.  A Director and Study Center Coordinator provide management of the operational and financial areas of the department. A Research Pharmacy Technician is part of the CRC staff and assumes accountability for all investigational drug use at the institution.

The CRC coordinator staff includes 14 Clinical Research Associates with clinical research experience ranging from four to twelve years. Included in this group are eight RNs and LPNs.  Ten of the coordinators hold clinical research certifications through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).  Two of the coordinators also have experience in basic science research. Two clinical research assistants are also staff members and provide support to the study coordinators.

The CRC staff has a wide variety of experience including clinical trials in General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Cardiology, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Pulmonary Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Radiology.
