Immunosuppression

The Hartford Hospital Transplant Program, established in 1971, has been involved in immunosuppressive care since that time. As new developments in immunosuppressive medications came to clinical practice, we have made use of these advances.

The Hartford Hospital Transplant Program maintains state-of-the-art technology and is able to provide up-to-date utilization of immunosuppressive medication as well as the control of potential side effects.

The Hartford Hospital Transplant Program also sponsors educational events to share new developments with the outpatient and inpatient staff as well as the organ procurement organization and histocompatibility laboratory.

Patients who have had solid organ transplants in other areas of the country can feel comfortable in relying on the Hartford Hospital Transplant Program to maintain their care if referred to our transplant program.
