State of the Art Dialysis Surgery Made Simple
     End stage renal disease affects thousands of Americans and is on the rise. The most common treatment option is dialysis. To start dialysis however, surgery is required. Learn about the different types of surgical options from Hartford Hospital experts Dr. Matthew Brown and Dr. Caroline Rochon, Thursday, May 9, 7-8 pm. Together they will provide education about the most common dialysis access surgeries including peritoneal and hemodialysis, and explain the procedures available to people initiating or already on dialysis. Hartford Hospital’s new infusion center is changing the way patients live with heart disease. The state-of-the-art outpatient treatment facility is dedicated to caring for patients with advanced-stage heart failure. Intravenous administration of medications-medications rapidly improves symptoms. (more)
