    BrainDance Awards for Student Projects on Mental Illness
2 day Intermediate Printmaking
    Prerequisite: Must have taken the previous Beginner Class or have prior experience in printmaking.. This workshop will explore additional techniques utilizing safe water based inks and acrylic paints. Brief demos incorporating printing, collage, stenciling and hand-made stamp designs will leave plenty of time for individual experimentation. Materials provided; Do bring sketches or other reference for a rapid start.

Writing from Collage: Word and Picture Fusion
    In this workshop we will compose a collage with pictures and then begin the processof writing from images. Once pictures are in place, a guided meditation will support a period of silence and reflection. Writing prompts will be used to illicit information and description of the collage which will ultimately be used to create a poem, narrative or story. Work can be shared or spoken aloud to further process the surfaced images. No previos experience necessary!
