Carl Moeller, MDApproximately 5% of adults in the United States suffer from obstructive sleep apnea - a sleep disorder wherein breath is interrupted during the course of sleep - with the numbers increasing annually. Symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea include: snoring, pauses in breathing or gasping while sleeping, and excessive daytime sleepiness.
