Are You Sleeping at Night... Or Snoring?
Department:   Medicine

Carl Moeller, MDApproximately 5% of adults in the United States suffer from obstructive sleep apnea - a sleep disorder wherein breath is interrupted during the course of sleep - with the numbers increasing annually. Symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea include: snoring, pauses in breathing or gasping while sleeping, and excessive daytime sleepiness. Left untreated, obstructive sleep apnea can increase the risk of stroke, heart disease, traffic accidents, and even lead to early death. We will have an in-depth discussion regarding the warning signs of sleep apnea, diagnosis, and the best possible treatment options such as CPAP, oral appliances, and surgical options.

In this seminar, you will learn about:

  • Symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea
  • Diagnosis
