ARE YOU A YOUNG ADULT
COPING WITH STRESS
FROM A NEW OR CHRONIC
The divisions of Health Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Young Adult Services are pleased to offer a therapeutic support group for young adults (17-26 years old) who are struggling with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.
The group runs on Fridays at 1pm in the conference room of the Center Building on the Institute of Living campus. Co-leaders are Eliza Alve-Hedegaard, APRN and Griffan Randall, DO.
This psychotherapy group will provide patients an opportunity to grieve the losses and limitations brought on by their medical conditions, while maintaining a future oriented focus. By modifying hopes, expectations, and plans in an empathic environment patients will support one another in their pursuit of fulfilling and meaningful lives.
This group is open to any and all young adults -- they do not have to be a current patient of the Institute of Living or Hartford Hospital.
Patients, families, and referring providers seeking additional information may contact Eliza Alve-Hedegaard directly at 860-545-7050 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
